“Poppy has been photographing moments for Evan and I throughout our entire relationship—from tagging along on dates to the sunflower fields or walks in Canmore, to graduations and family photoshoots. So when we got engaged, I knew she had to be the one to shoot our engagement photos too!

She took the time to really listen to our ideas, encouraging us to think outside of the box and together we customized a day-long adventure to capture meaningful parts of our relationship.

We started with photos at the lake, where I reverse proposed to my fiancé. Then we wandered through the Banff Springs Hotel, where Poppy had a hilarious vision for a photo in one of their old elevators—those turned out to be some of my absolute favourites! And just when most photographers would’ve called it a day, we kept going—ending with a trip to the bowling alley to recreate our first date. We had pizza, bowled, and took more photos—it was so much fun!

Poppy made us feel completely at ease the entire time. We laughed, relaxed, and were able to just be ourselves—and that’s exactly what shines through in the final photos. They're not just beautiful photos to celebrate our love, the shoot itself is a whole new memory that I’ll never forget.“
